My First Bird feeder

This saturday my husband gifted me a bird feeder.....its my first and I was so excited. He hung it on the Maple tree in the front yard and now we can watch all the birds we want. I can watch birds for hours and not know the time. I think birds are like babies....every waking moment they are so alive, never sit still and keep looking for something new., so excited all the time and both keep us entertained with their lovely sweet sounds.

My daughter, my joy

While I was growing up, mom used to say ,"you will know how it feels when you become a mom" and I wondered what feeling could it possibly be which can produce such intense feelings. Well, mom was sure right and now I do know it! My 17 month old daughter, saumya, spends her entire day at home with me and all I can do is be amazed. she is so into books......yes...she would sit on the sofa chair and the tender little hands would turn the pages of board books with pictures and the young mind, ready to grasp anything and everything, would ask questions. What is this? what is this? what is this? she wants to find what it is that world is made up of? And the next time when I ask her to find anything in the book, she would do that!
I am so much in love with her love for learning. And I am really amazed at how her mind works.

Going to India!!

Yay!! We are going to India. This will be so much fun. saumya is going to see India for the first time.

Remembring Childhood

After years of waiting, we finally found a DVD of the Malgudi Days. We grew up watching this tv serial in the eighties. Its based on book by R K Narayan.
Hubby dear and me watched three episodes tonite and refreshed our childhood memories.simple days, only one channel on TV, Delhi Doordarshan!

Joy of Parenthood

saumya started walking full swing today. Wonderful sight!! The way she balances, keeps going even after falling so many times. Fun to watch. One day she will grow up to be young woman and walk away to start a new life. I love her.
